EGI has also been the world-leader in geothermal research culminating in the conceptualization and execution of FORGE. Carbon sequestration project portfolio at EGI has a history of over two decades. Recent geopolitical events have highlighted the need ensure essential energy security. EGI thus has the unique capacity to deliver key knowledge and technologies in Energy Resilience with Security –the ability to adapt to an optimum mix of low-carbon energy while ensuring adequate supply to meet essential societal needs. Recognizing that decarbonization and carbon avoidance are effective first steps to fight climate change, EGI is working with experts in this area.
