Brooke Tucker
Technology Outreach Marketing Manager, EGI
Brooke currently serves as EGI’s Technology Outreach Marketing manager. Prior to joining EGI, Brooke worked at the Utah Governor’s Office of Energy Development for five years during the Governor Gary R. Herbert administration, most recently, in the capacity of Deputy Director. In this leadership role, she provided legislative analysis, carried out strategic planning initiatives, and oversaw the administration of Utah’s U.S. Department of Energy State Energy Program (SEP) formula funds. Brooke helped attract competitive grant funds for projects related to studying electricity markets, enhancing local energy efficiency planning, launching the Office’s energy education initiative, and enhancing electric vehicle infrastructure in the state. Brooke managed a team of energy experts focused on enhancing energy education, energy efficiency, and administering the state’s renewable energy system tax credits.
In addition to her programmatic work, Brooke contributed to organizing and delivering the annual Utah Governor’s Energy Summit, which was the largest event of its kind in the West, that featured keynote addresses from industry leaders from around the world and U.S. Department of Energy Secretaries and Undersecretaries. Brooke co-authored strategic energy planning documents for the state, including Utah’s Strategic Energy Plan through 2020 and Foundations for a Better Energy Future. She was selected to serve as a co-chair of the National Association of State Energy Official’s Electricity Committee. Brooke also gained experience in the private sector as a Policy Consultant at Energy Strategies focusing on the firm’s efforts in policy engagement and regional electricity market development initiatives. Brooke holds a BA in Strategic Communications and an MBA.
