PetroChem Plots^™ Privacy Policy

iPetroChem Plots applications are products of the Energy & Geoscience Institute (EGI) at the University of Utah. EGI has written this Policy to explain our commitment to your privacy when interacting with the PetroChem Plots website or when using PetroChem Plots applications. This Policy governs the PetroChem Plots website and any PetroChem Plots application published by EGI.

All information collected by PetroChem Plots will be kept strictly confidential and will not be sold, rented, traded, loaned or otherwise disclosed. PetroChem Plots does not sell, share, or otherwise disclose any personally identifiable information (PII), including your name, address or email address, or employer, to any third parties. Only PetroChem Plots or authorized agents have access to PII provided by visitors to our site or by registered PetroChem Plots users.

Collection of PII on our website

You confidentiality and privacy are important to us, so we collect as little information from you as possible. However, we collect some PII that you must provide to us on our website so that you can gain access to PetroChem Plots applications. We collect your:

• Password generated by you

You provide information to us when you sign up to use PetroChem Plots or when you contact PetroChem Plots. We do not collect this information from you unless you provide it to us. We will never (and will not allow any third party to) use the statistical analytics tool to track or to collect any PII of visitors to our site.

Collection of PII within PetroChem Plots applications

We only collect user login and logout information for when you access an PetroChem Plots application, including your email and password. We do not collect information about the data you access, the queries you run, or other ways that you interact with or use PetroChem Plots applications.

Use of PII

We use your name, employer, and email address that you provide to us to create a registered user account so that you may access PetroChem Plots applications. You must provide us with this information to create a user account and access PetroChem Plots applications.

We also use your name, employer, and email address that you provide to us when you use our contact form. We use this information to process your request.

PetroChem Plots does not use PII for any other purposes besides those stated in this section. We never share or sell any information that you provide us with third parties.

EU General Data Protection Regulation

This section applies only to information collected from PetroChem Plots users or visitors in the European Economic Area. The University of Utah has published a GDPR Privacy Notice. The notice explains how the university meets its obligations under the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

PetroChem Plots collects and uses only the categories of PII and other data described in this Policy, and only for the purposes stated in this Policy. PII collected and processed through PetroChem Plots is necessary to authenticate users and validate that users are employed by iCORDS subscribers.

Security

PetroChem Plots has security measures in place to protect against the loss or misuse of PII. Although we will make every effort to keep your information secure and private, there is always some risk in providing PII over the Internet.

Updates to this Policy

We may periodically update this Policy. Changes become effective once posted. Your continued use of the PetroChem Plots website or PetroChem Plots applications indicates you consent to the terms of this Policy.
