Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) was founded in 1969 by 12 engineering and scientific organizations to address the growing technological needs of the offshore E&P business. Since that time OTC has expanded its conferences regionally to Brazil and Asia as well as holding events on Arctic technology.
As Chair of the OTC Asia Oversight Committee, Judzis coordinated the efforts of the Advisory, Program, and Next Wave (young professionals) Committees. Previously he was a member of the Board of Directors for OTC, Inc. for nine years and was Chairman during 2006 and 2007. During his recent visit to Kuala Lumpur, Judzis met with numerous operators and suppliers that were engaged in the conference including Petronas, OTC Asia’s Corporate Supporting Organization.
Even with the low oil price scenario 2016 OTC Asia (March 22–25) attracted over 20,000 attendees from 70 countries. They came to the meeting to discuss the E&P business outlook for Asia as well as to hear technical papers on topics ranging from the geosciences and reservoir modeling to offshore platforms. More information about the Opening Ceremony is available here.
