EGI Welcomes Visiting Scientist from Tunis for North African Insights, Collaboration

EGI is pleased to welcome Visiting Scientists Rachida Talbi – Assistant Professor of Geochemistry, CERTE (Centre de Recherches et des Technologies des Eaux / Water Researches and Technologies Center), Tunis.

Rachida will be working closely with David Thul and the Petroleum Geochemistry group developing our understanding of shale systems in North Africa. She is highly interested in the EGI advances in shale science and research. Rachida was introduced to EGI by our Affiliate Scientist Regginal Spiller who is based in Houston and was the former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Energy for Gas & Oil Technologies. We first met Rachida at the EGI Corporate Associate Tech Conference in Houston, Texas (Fall 2016) hosted at the Halliburton Headquarters.

Rachida will be at EGI for 35 days, working in our Salt Lake City office
